wan juggler™
Standard Junxion Box™
firmware
includes an integrated fail-over feature called WAN Juggler™.
This tool can be quickly set up using the
the Junxion Box device manager, or it can be configured through
Junxion's
Field Commander™
remote management.
WAN Juggler replaces the need for a costly third-party
router for persistent connectivity solutions. How does it
work?
-
The Junxion Box can be configured with two WAN connections:
a wireless WAN PC Card modem and an alternate WAN connection
through Ethernet port 2 on the device.
- Either of the two WAN connections
can be designated as the "primary" connection, which by
default sets the other as the "secondary" connection.
- The Ethernet WAN connection can be virtually any data service (T1,
DSL, cable, satellite, another WWAN modem/router, even another Junxion Box).
- When the primary connection fails, WAN Juggler
automatically diverts data traffic to the secondary connection. When the primary
connection resumes, WAN Juggler quickly reverts back to
the primary connection.
Applications
WAN Juggler
supports a broad range of solutions where a persistent data
connection is valuable.
Fixed
Any
organization that needs reliable landline data service
connectivity
(offices, ATM machines, retail POS systems, remote security
devices, etc.)
can use the Junxion Box with WAN Juggler to
ensure there is always a live data connection.
So when a DSL line goes down or a T1 line is cut, the
Junxion Box offers a physically redundant back-up
connection.
Mobile
There is an increasingly broad array of
vehicles with mission-critical devices that require
continuity of WWAN data connectivity (first
responders, utilities, military, etc.)
regardless of coverage or network conditions.
Mobile persistent connectivity can be achieved either by
linking two Junxion Boxes through Ethernet port 2 (one
is primary, the other is secondary), or by linking a Junxion
Box with another mobile data solution via Ethernet.
