about
Opportunity
It’s a fact. The wireless world of the future is
already here. Unfortunately, most of us don't realize
it. Our attention is continually directed toward the next
incremental improvement, or the next big leap in technology.
At
Junxion we're excited about the future of wireless
data services. We've also decided it’s high time
for more organizations and people to begin enjoying the
benefits of the relatively high-speed networks already
available through wireless carriers. Which is why we’ve
introduced the
Junxion Box™,
a device with patent-pending Junxion Platform™
firmware that creates new
opportunities for tapping into the cellular Internet
today...and with upgradeability to ensure a long useful life
as the evolution of wireless network technologies continues
to accelerate.
Stand-alone PC Card modems are an ideal means of getting
connected to the wireless Internet for a large number of
end-user applications. And this represents a considerable
market for wireless carriers. Where, then, does Junxion fit
into the picture?
Simply put: Junxion's solutions create entirely new application
opportunities for wireless data services offered by
carriers. Our growing base of
over 500 enterprise and government customers has verified that
entirely new applications and customer types can be
supported when a PC Card modem is coupled with our
green
box.
For Junxion's industry partners this means considerably bigger,
earlier market opportunities for wireless data solutions.
For many customers it's time to be pleasantly surprised by
the practical utility of what's here today.
History
Every
great idea is born out of need. And ours began with one of
those, “Why don’t we have a better way for more people to
access the Internet via cellular...” conversations. OK, we
admit, we’re wireless geeks (at the time we were building
the first North American carrier to deploy wireless service
using true third-generation wireless network technology).
But it’s still a relevant question. And we think we’ve
responded with an innovatively elegant solution: The Junxion
Box.
We started
out thinking the Junxion Box would be ideal for the
thousands of mobile work teams who need portable access to
the Internet along with mobile networking capabilities. And we also
knew the Junxion Box coupled with 3G wireless data networks
would eventually enable major service providers to compete
head-on with DSL and digital cable providers for broadband
service. But as we dove into this, more ideas for features
and applications kept pouring in from partners
and end-users.
When we signed up our first batch of customers, we instantly
noticed that each had a slightly different way to put the
Junction Box to good use. Landline replacement, landline
back-up, portable networks, vehicle data connectivity,
remote security and other machine-to-machine applications…the range is stunning. There’s a
significantly larger opportunity out there than we had
originally anticipated. Data connectivity from wireless
carriers is about
to truly blossom.
